As founder and CEO of Wampold Companies, Mike Wampold is directly responsible for the direction and growth of the company. He oversees strategic corporate planning, corporate financing and new project development. Mike is a graduate of Louisiana State University and holds the CCIM designation from the Commercial Real Estate Investment Institute. He has been involved in the development, construction, renovation, ownership and management of real estate holdings for over 40 years. Notable Baton Rouge development projects include Shaw Plaza office building, Crescent at University Lake Condominiums, Bayonne at Southshore Apartments, I & II City Plaza office buildings, the Renaissance and Watermark hotels, and Harveston, an 1,800 acre mixed use development. Mike has also developed projects throughout Louisiana, Texas and Florida. Mike is a member and former director of numerous industry and civic organizations and has served on numerous boards, including the Baton Rouge Business Bank, LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation, the Baton Rouge Good Growth Coalition, BREC Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Make a Wish Foundation, Woman’s Hospital and the LSU Foundation. He is a life-long resident of Louisiana.
Ted joined Wampold Companies in March 1993 to oversee all capital repairs, maintenance, renovation and construction activities. Ted now serves as the company’s President. In this capacity, he assists in the development of new ventures and coordinates the construction of all capital improvements on new and existing properties. Ted has served in various capacities within the company during his almost 30 years including overseeing the rehabilitation of a historic bank building into a 144-room hotel in downtown Baton Rouge as well as assisting in development of the company’s newest multi-family community, Bayonne at Southshore. Other recent projects in Wampold Companies’ timeline include the 256-room Renaissance Hotel, a 165-unit luxury condominium community, The Crescent at University Lake Condominiums as well as the 12-story, 260,000 sq. ft., class A office building, II City Plaza, and parking garage located in downtown Baton Rouge. Ted assists in the due diligence of potential acquisitions by assessing the quality of construction and the capital repair requirements of each project. During his tenure with the company, he has coordinated the renovation of over 3,000 apartment homes with an estimated capital outlay exceeding $45 million dollars. Prior to association with Wampold Companies, he was Vice-President of Big River Construction, a company specializing in multi-family renovations throughout the United States. During his 6-year tenure at Big River, Ted was a project manager/coordinator in the major renovation of over 5,000 apartment homes around the country. Ted is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction. He holds a Louisiana State Contractor License and is a member of the Capital Region Builders Association.
As Chief Financial Officer for Wampold Companies, Lori oversees several corporate functions including all areas of accounting and financial reporting, human resources, IT, risk management, financing and investment activities. She is also involved in the oversight of operations for the multi-family apartment properties, commercial property management, and hotel management as well as new development projects. Lori began her career with Wampold Companies in 1994. She was named to this current position in 2007 following a thirteen-year career of advancement within the company. Lori graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1994, received her CPA designation in 1995 and her CGMA designation in 2012. Her memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana CPAs. In 2005 Lori was recognized by the Baton Rouge Business Report as a Top 40 Under 40 award recipient. In 2017 Lori was a graduate of the inaugural session of Business Report’s Executive Leadership Academy.
Lori is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Heritage Ranch Christian Children’s Home as Treasurer as well as Head of the Finance and HR Committee. She is also currently serving on the Advisory Board for Resource Bank.
